PICK-UP

So you want to join, huh? Well, it's easy!

Comment to this post with your name, contact, character, and 1-3 paragraphs describing a little bit about what will make them unique. What is their AU, and how does it set them apart? What game were they part of? What relationships do they have on arrival? Do they have any motivations for staying here? If they've come straight from canon, go into why they would stay here or why they'd visit, and what's going on back in canon and some personality.

In addition, please include a link to an opt-out post! Starhue Valley is an open and inclusive playground with a wide variety of players, so it's only natural a few of them might not click with each other. We'd like everyone to be able to curate their RP experience here for their comfort, so an opt-out post to allow for that is required to be accepted. It doesn't have to be fancy— just there! Here are some examples.

Canon: World of Warcraft
Character: Chen Stormstout
Variation: OU
About: "Live in the moment" is a good way to put Chen's philosophy -- slow down and embrace what you are doing, enthusiastically and wholeheartedly. Chen truly enjoys what he does, whatever he does -- adventuring, brewing, drinking, fighting, or just traveling along and seeing the sights. The Wanderer's Way, as he calls his adventuring, is less action and more attitude. Like most Pandaren, Chen is extraordinarily difficult to rile -- but unlike the Pandarian natives, Chen seems to have acquired this trait with age and experience instead of as a matter of culture. He has one weakness, though; he gets the most upset when family is involved. But even his darker moments don't last for long. He's gregarious and friendly, and hard to keep down.

Chen has practically been everywhere and done everything -- to the point that he was pretty much on both sides of the Third War, fighting next to Magni Bronzebeard one moment and helping found Orgrimmar the next. He's responsible for a yearly holiday based on drinking, and has visited Outland to see what it's like. The lifestyle is slowly catching up to him, as he occasionally gives voice to the idea of settling down; Pandaria speaks to him deeply, as a beautiful place with lots to brew and lots to fight. Chen loves a good fight the way he loves everything else, but he's just as likely to solve a real problem by cunning instead of brute force.

For no adequately explained reason, he hates being interrupted while he is banging on doors.
